A poor soul being completely drenched in adherent oil
Oil Drench is one of many Afflictions you can get in We Need To Go Deeper by ingesting water while drowning. Being Oil Drenched, the character will have difficulty moving their joints and swinging their weapons, due to the extremely adherent oil they are covered in, thus reducing their Damage and Repair Stats. Additionally, the dripping oil will cover their faces, hindering the vision.

When you contract Oil Drench, the character is going to face a severe reduction in the Damage and Repair stats, making them much less effective at fighting and repairing. Specifically, Repair will be reduced by three and Damage will be reduced by five. Additionally, the oil will severely hamper the vision, by occultating large areas of the screen, similarly to Periscopes doused by an Oil Spitter.
