Description[]
Gold is the game's currency. It can be used to buy Items, Pickups and Upgrades from Civilization Shops, Attire, and anything from the Catalog. Gold is acquired by collecting riches during the expedition, which are dropped by Treasure Chests and Enemies.
Whenever a match ends, all gold collected is added to the player's treasury and can be used to unlock various things in the Catalog. When a match starts, no gold is brought, meaning only gold collected in that match can be spent on Civilizations found during it and that players with large amounts of gold in their treasury do not hold an advantage over other players in that aspect.

Gold Calculation Formula[]
The Gold multiplier increases per water layer by multiplying the base gold amount, with a maximum Gold Multiplier of 2. (layer 1 = 1x, layer 2 = 1.25x, so forth).
The exact equation is (1 + 0.25 x layers passed).
