The Giant Fly is a rare enemy brought by the Time Traveller into the submarine.

Description

The Giant Fly, as its name suggests, is an insect of the order Diptera - more specifically a housefly, or Musca domestica, the most common fly species often found in houses. Being brought by the Time Traveller from another timeline, these insects are notable for having grown to immense sizes, and were likely taken from the same place as the Giant Bees. It is unknown what has caused them to grow so much larger, but it is likely that they were simply taken from a timeline with much higher concentrations of oxygen in the atmosphere, allowing arthropods to survive even with greater body sizes.

Behavior

The Giant Fly will always appear as swarms and, similarly to Bessie, are unique among the Time Travelling enemies due to not being immediately aggressive, as they will only attack if they are attacked first. They have very low health, but due to always appearing in large groups, they can be very dangerous to unprepared crews, particularly ones that do not have Items that can damage multiple enemies at once.

Tactics

Due to their low individual health and their tendency to stay very close to each other, melee weapons such as the Sword can quickly dispatch the entire swarm due to being able to hit multiple enemies at once. Although they are more resiliant than the Giant Bees, the fact that the crew will always be the first one to attack (due to them not being immediately aggressive) compensates for it.
