The Burrow Worm is a rare enemy found in the Aurelian Depths.
Description[]
The Burrow Worm is a large, predatorial annelid that is capable of quickly swimming or digging through the ground (hence its name), and will use hit and run tactics to defeat larger prey. It is the adult form of the Worm Maggots, and judging by how common the young maggots are, it's likely that the Burrow Worms releases large amounts of eggs.
Behavior[]
The Burrow Worm will charge towards the submarine in a straight line, making it relatively easy to dodge when in open areas. Once it hits a wall, it will simply dig through it and once completely hidden inside it, the Burrow Worm will reposition itself for another attack.
Tactics[]
Due to its high speeds and ability to hide inside the ground, this enemy is very hard to kill, which makes it recommended to use torpedoes against it. Additionally, it can easily outrun and follow any submarine at any speeds, so running from it is generally not an option.
