Description[ | ]
The Atlantean Ruins are a type of Civilization that are found at the end of the Atlantic Waters. Atlanteans populate the Atlantean Ruins and, rarely, you will be able to recruit an Atlantean Golem.
It is a large, deteriorated structure that resembles greek buildings due to it's use of columns at the front. Inside lies a giant, empty throne that may have once been the seat of the Atlantean's ruler.
The following are the NPCs found in the Atlantean Ruins.
Lore[ | ]
The Atlanteans seem to be creeped out by the helmet the players wear and find it hard to differentiate between female and male player characters.
They imply that the Atlantean City has been built underwater.
At least one Atlantean claims he was a good friend of the Time Traveller.
Many of them seems to fear and despise the Quadken, often warning the players of her tentacles and urging them to kill her.
Atlanteans[ | ]
The Atlanteans are the citizens of the Atlantean Ruins.
Description[ | ]
The Atlanteans are humanoid, sentient fish carrying tridents. They seem to live in a hierarchical society that highly valorizes the military and frequently speak in an egotistical manner. They have very little sexual dimorphism, other than slight color and head structure differences.
Behavior[ | ]
When they first see a player, they will wave at them with their trident. They will stand in their positions and if a player interacts with them, they will talk with the player using their native language, which can be translated by the Translation Book. If they are attacked or robbed, they will chase the players and attack with their tridents, and may invade the submarine if you try to escape. They are capable of destroying doors, meaning even your own ship will not be safe if you decide to attack them. Additionally, they are capable of swimming, which makes it even harder to escape them.
Tactics[ | ]
The Dynamite is the best item to use if you want to kill the Atlanteans and steal their goods. If no dynamite is available, large crews with healing items may be able to tank their damage and kill them. Additionally, the tridents they hold give their attacks a very long reach, so it is advised to keep your distance if you choose to fight them.
Dialogue[ | ]
- A sunken city?
- Excuse me, but the city would have to have been above water level...
- ... For it to have sunk in the first place.
- No, good sirs. Or are you females? I can't tell.
- Well, excuse me, not everyone can have as obvious gender diferentiation as us.
- Wait, that head looks a bit more misshapen than the rest.
- Does it mean that it's the male or the female of the bunch?
I did not hear you, say that again? Oh. Yes, she does indeed leave her crevice. If her tentacle-ey lust is not sated, she goes up. And by nothing but chance...
Many fools have met a watery demise.
- You look terrified.
- You must of heard tale of our nuisance below.
- I don’t mind her so much.
- She’s much smaller than…
- Than the monstrosities beyond.
- How do such hideous creatures live with themselves?

The Atlantean Healer is the Doctor of the Atlantean Ruins.
Description[ | ]
The Atlantean Healer is a female Atlantean with traditional fortune teller attire, such as a turban with a very large gem and multiple opulent earrings in her large ears. In addition to being a fortune teller and possibly a religious figure in the Atlantean society, she is capable of using her arcane powers to heal peaceful visitors.
Behavior[ | ]
When she first sees a player, she will wave at them with her staff. She will stand in her position and if a player interacts with her, she will talk with the player using her native language, which can be translated by the Translation Book, and will instantly heal the player, restoring their health and curing any Afflictions. If she or her brethren are attacked or robbed, they will chase the players and attack with their tridents, and may invade the submarine if you try to escape. They are capable of destroying doors, meaning even your own ship will not be safe if you decide to attack them. Additionally, they are capable of swimming, which makes it even harder to escape them.
Tactics[ | ]

Dialogue[ | ]
- You look deathly, child.
- Thankfully our magic heals all.

The Atlantean Golem is a recruitable NPC rarely found in the Atlantean Ruins.
Description[ | ]
The Atlantean Golem is a golem made out of carved stone, molded to the shape of a humanoid creature that resembles a mix of an Atlantean and a Human. Multiple atlantean symbols are found throughout its body and glow with some sort of mystical power, which is presumably what brings them to life.
Behavior[ | ]
Once recruited, they will join the crew with a pipe wrench and will be able to do many tasks, such as repairing breaches, attacking invading enemies or enemies inside caves or using the Submarine's Turret. Similarly to Crew Bots, they can be instructed through the use of the Command Wheel to order them to do specific tasks.
