~ The Shambler

Alternate Dimensions are only found in Awakened Mode upon being grabbed by The Shambler.

General Description[]

Alternate Dimensions serve whole other worlds that can only be traveled to by being grabbed by The Shambler. Currently, there are three possible Dimensions players can be taken to, each with their own color and characteristics. It is not known if certain Dimensions are more likely to appear over others. While in any of them players will be completed submerged in water, similar to that of a flooding Submarine, and will begin to drown. However, players are unable to acquire any Afflictions from ingesting the water in any of the Alternate Dimensions. In order to escape, players will need to run to the right side of the screen, where they will see a white tear in reality. Going through this will bring them back into the Submarine. It is advised that players do not spend too long in any of these Dimensions, as not only are they tempting death by doing so, but it could also put the crew in jeopardy, since if a dire situation suddenly occurs they will be missing a crewmate.

Growth Dimension[]

GrowthDimension

The Growth Dimension.

This first Dimension features very little compared to the other two. It supports a pink look, and there will be many large, fungal like objects in the player's path. Upon running through these players will be slowed down, only prolonging the process of escape.

General Strategy[]

Due to the fungal slowdown, it is advised to pass by the fungi to exit as quick as possible. Jumping up and then rolling over the fungi accomplishes this quite well. This can be further assisted by holding a Monkey Wrench or by splashing oneself with the yellow or purple potions from a Chemistry Kit. These jumps need to be properly timed to limit contact with the ground, but also to make sure the player doesn't roll into the large fungi. Properly jumping over the fungi will avoid the speed debuff entirely.

Pain Dimension[]

PainDimension

The Pain Dimension.

The Pain Dimension features a orange and brown look. This Dimension is the most threatening of the three, due to it featuring numerous enemies. Pain Clowns are quite abundant, and will throw hooks as the player approaches them. There is a chance that their attacks will invoke Blood Sickness, so it is advised to exit as quickly as possible. The Pain Clowns do not need to be killed in order to leave. In addition, regardless if players do kill the Pain Clowns, they will always re-spawn whenever the biome is entered. There will also be strange, orange spheres with odd projections sticking out of them. It is not currently known what these odd spheres do.

General Strategy[]

It is recommended to escape this biome as quickly as possible, as the Pain Clowns combined with drowning damage can quickly kill a player. The best means to do this is to jump and roll over the Pain Clowns and their attacks. Doing so limits the odds of getting Blood Sickness. If players do wish to kill some of the Pain Clowns they will receive some Gold for their efforts, though the risk of death is extreme.

Power Dimension[]

PowerDimension

The Power Dimension.

The Crystal Dimension features a crystal-filled theme and supports a green color. There will always be two large Power Aliens, which upon being killed will always drop a Power Sword. The two Power Aliens will always respawn each time the Power Dimension is entered. This Dimension is currently the only means of finding the aforementioned Power Sword.

General Strategy[]

It is likely that players will intentionally try to enter this Dimension in hopes of acquiring the Power Sword, due to it's high damage potential. In order to do so, one of the two Power Aliens need to be killed. If players do not wish to try and get the sword, they can simply run and roll to the right to escape quickly.

Trivia[]

  • Before Awakened Mode was implemented, the existence of the Pain Dimension was only hinted at by the Time Traveller.
  • The above quote does not make any appearances in-game, as The Shambler does not have any lines. Rather, this was provided by the developers.
